Have your say on proposed industrial precinct
The Shire of Halls Creek is seeking community feedback on a proposed industrial precinct southwest of the townsite.
The Stage One subdivision area sits off the Great Northern Highway, between the Horizon Power station and Halls Creek Airport, a few minutes' drive from town. The land is identified for industrial and strategic use under the Shire's local planning scheme.
An industrial precinct could provide space for local businesses, trades and contractors to establish and grow, bringing more jobs and services to Halls Creek. The project is in its early planning stages and no decisions have been made. Community feedback will help inform the next steps.
Residents can share their views through a short online survey. It takes only a few minutes to complete:

The survey is open from Thursday 16 July until Friday 7 August 2026.
Posters with a QR code linking to the survey will also be displayed around town.
